To Help A 19-Year Old Cat Be Adopted The Shelter Throws A Celebration For Him

A 19-year-old cat in the care of animal shelter staff in Ohio captured the attention of many online by giving him a spectacular birthday party to help him find a home for his aspirations.

The best part is that a social media celebration like this one, when the senior cat was given the finest present, became a platform for advertising. Several individuals made the decision to offer to adopt him and give him a forever home after thousands of people read the post on the shelter’s Facebook page.

Sammy, the older cat, came to the Cincinnati Animal CARE shelter , after going through a very sad situation and being left in this place. For many years he had a loving home, but his owner had to go into a nursing home and was unable to take his beloved cat with him. For this reason, the shelter staff knew all his information and even that his 19th birthday would be on June 15.

Sammy has always been known for being quite nice; he enjoys cuddles and hugs; he is very interested and pays attention to everything that takes place. He is undoubtedly a very easygoing and pleasant boy who enjoys spending time with his carers and taking naps on their laps. Since he first came to the shelter, he garnered everyone’s affection, so when the staff learned that it was his birthday, they made the occasion memorable for him.

Even though not all of the neighborhood’s cats were able to attend Sammy’s fantastic party, the most important thing was that he had a good time.A representative for the shelter, Ray Anderson, told HuffPost:I can honestly say that I enjoyed all the attention today. He is a really good cat, as seen by the amazing cap he is wearing right now.

It was all part of a campaign to find him a home, and apparently the publicity worked as everyone expected. The day after his birthday , the shelter staff announced through their various social media accounts that Sammy had finally found a forever home.

Despite his age, Sammy is doing well physically and in general health, so he will be a good companion for his new mother.

Our medical staff does not feel he needs any extra care despite the fact that he has a heart murmur and a little lump under his ear.

Even after finding a forever home, Sammy kept getting adoption requests from several people who were touched by his story.
